Grafitti & The Trainline

One of my visual obsessions has always been graffiti, having lived in London for a while you get very used to seeing it every day! My love for graffiti goes beyond the visual, I have the utmost respect for people that can do it, whether it be a persons signature tag or something more along the lines of an intricate mural. My own work is mainly painting with a variety of mediums and I have always tried to have my own take on graffiti in a more abstract sense. (See some images below). When I say my own take, I am referring to me using mark making in my own way in a more representative manner and using some spray paint from time to time!Another of my favourite visuals is train lines and trains themselves, I love the lines, form and the architecture of the train. Rust is another theme I have incorporated into a lot of my themes and work and can be a big component in the tramline and old railway stations. They come with a lot of history and can evoke a nostalgic response on places previously visited. I will pop a few more visuals of some of my favourite trains with graffiti work on the side - RL
